Carole Vilardo
Carole Vilardo is the president of the Nevada Taxpayers Association (NTA). She has been affiliated with NTA since 1986. Since joining NTA, her efforts have been directed to the fiscal issues of taxes and spending by Nevada state and local governments. She began lobbying the legislature part-time in 1973 and full-time in 1977..
Currently she is in her 5th term as one of two public members on the Clark County Debt Management Commission. She is also serving on the Clark County Superintendent’s Education Network.
Over the past two decades, Ms. Vilardo has served as a member of many Nevada Committees as a governor-appointed and public member over the past two decades, including the Department of Transportation’s Public-Private Partnership Committee; the Department of Transportation’s Blue Ribbon Committee; the Clark County Clean Water Coalition Financial Task Force; the Washoe County Charting Our Course Committee; and the Local Government Employee-Management Relations Committee.
Ms. Vilardo was named one of the most influential women in Southern Nevada by “IN Business” in both 2001 and 2004. She served as Chairman of the National Taxpayers Conference (two terms) and has served on the Boards of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce of Commerce, the Retail Association of Nevada, Crime Stoppers, the Southern Nevada YMCA and the National Kidney Foundation of Nevada.
