Randy A. Garcia is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the first Nevada-based investment management consulting firm, The Investment Counsel Company. Specializing in money manager searches and performance monitoring, measurement, and evaluation, The Investment Counsel Company has raised the standard of service for all institutional investors within the Sate of Nevada since its establishment in 1987. Goldline Research recognized The Investment Counsel Company as one of the Most Dependable™ Wealth Mangers of the Southwest in a recent issue of Forbes Magazine.
Prior to establishing The Investment Counsel Company, he was with UBS Paine Webber and was recognized by MONEY magazine as one of the Nation’s best investment consultants. He formerly served as the Chairman of the Education Committee for the Investment Management Consultants Association, a national organization of investment professionals.
Mr. Garcia is currently serving the community in the following capacities: Board Director, Executive Committee and Investment Committee member of the Nevada Community Foundation; Board Director and Educational Committee Member of the Council for a Better Nevada; Board Director and Trustee of the Nevada State College Foundation; Board Director and Vice President of Scoutreach Program for the Southern Nevada Boy Scouts; former Board Member and current Member of the Nevada Development Authority; member of the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce; Deposit and Loan Committee Member and Board Director of the Service Campaign Corporation for the Catholic Diocese of Las Vegas; former Board member of the Las Vegas Southwest Rotary; and former Chairman of the Nevada State Taxicab Authority (Governor appointee).
Mr. Garcia is a 1977 honors graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He attended the University of Santa Clara, School of Law, as a scholarship recipient and completed post graduate classes at Harvard University and Wharton School of Business. He is Nevada’s first Certified Investment Management Analyst and holds over five National Securities Industry Professional Licenses.
